After a chance meeting at a post-hurricane food relief station, Drew Terry and Chris Mann began a conversation about the havoc they were witnessing after a devastating storm surge event. Not only were members of the community were being taken advantage of by opportunistic contractors and mitigation "experts," but no one was talking about how to prevent this from happening again. Hurricanes are both wind and water events, and while a strong foundation and quality construction can help mitigate wind, there is no stopping water. Until now.

Drew Terry has built a thriving landscaping company based on Anna Maria Island. Built with a foundation on honesty, respect for the community, and a reputation for superior quality and service.  Drew knows all there is to know about the local ecosystem, property grading, hardscapes, water runoff, and biophillic design. He parlays this knowledge, along with his understanding of waterproofing and construction, to help make our clients homes as watertight as possible.

Chris Mann is a serial entrepreneur who has a low tolerance for preventable hardships. After his home flooded during a storm surge event, he thought "there has to be a way to prevent this." With a knowledge of construction, unique problem solving skills, and a background building several successful businesses, Chris teamed up with Drew and hatched the plan to "purge the surge."

Together, the mission is to help our clients create as much water resistance as possible at their coastal homes. Through a combination of temporary dams, perimeter protection, building envelope waterproofing, and remodeling consultation services, our goal is to set your mind at ease during future storms.
